So I will introduce myself. My name is Chris. I’ve been a Mandy fan since the beginning. Love her music, love her movies, love her. I also run a Britney Spears fan site (http://www.badmediakarma.com). Though I am the primary owner, I am not the only member on staff. Also helping me out are my good friends Jay and Jenna. Jay designed our layout and gallery header. He also does all the designs for my Britney site. Jenna co-webs with me on the Britney site and is an admin on that forum, but she also has another site that she co-webs at for Christina Aguilera (http://www.oh-aguilera.com). Make sure to check them both out if you’d like. I’m sure you have noticed the changes here right away. First off, there is an entirely new layout design, as I said made by Jay. Hope you like it, I sure do. Also there is a lot more content. I updated some of the content that Chelsie had such as the biography and included her quotes and trivia pages. I also added a complete discography, filmography, videography and lyrics archive (let me know if some of the lyrics are wrong or if I am missing any). Keep in mind these are not all of the changes/updates and things are still a work in progress, such as updating and re-organizing the gallery which will take some time. As for affiliates, I looked at all of the affiliates that had been previously listed on one of the pages and none of them were linking back to us so they were completely removed. I installed Affiliationally, an affiliates script, for ease of adding affiliates. If you wish to be an affiliate simply visit the application page listed under “WWW”‘ or here and complete the application. There are some slight requirements for each the different affiliates sections (Elite, Top, & Regular) that can be viewed here, we do however make exceptions to the rules if we feel you have a great site. So again, Welcome to Mandy-M.net, take a look around, apply for affiliates if you want, and enjoy. We’d also like some feedback so tell us what you think of the new Mandy-M.net and what you would like to see here at Mandy-M.net. We want to give the fans what they want. Some ideas that have been thrown on the table are a forum and a video archive, so let us know what you think. |
As you can see, the site is no longer managed by Chelsie. She decided to give the site up and I was happy to jump at the chance to take it. As a huge Mandy fan, there was no question whether I wanted to take on the site or not. I had been debating about opening a site for the past few weeks and luckily this chance came my way.

I guess this is another person who didnt learn from the past. Why is it that these sites always end up with new webmasters who are stupid enough to take them over?? And you people run 50 million other sites?? I think we have enough good Mandy sites out there already, this site has been taken over so many times. What is the point?? Really??

the content on the site is just a repeat of stuff that the other fansites are doing or have already done. Why not try to be a bit more original instead of trying to have the same kinds of photos and other things like the other fansites out there already have. One site has quotes and trivia already. The photos you have up, all of the sites have up already.Just same repetitive stuff that everyone else already offers.

Also, don’t listen to Cindi, she’s just jealous that your site is much better than hers (notice she didn’t even leave a link. Nice.) Also, of course you’re going to have the same pictures up: Cindi, it’s a freaking gallery idiot, everyone is going to have the same pictures. Do us all a favor and shut the hell up.

Cindi, don’t be a bitch. If there’s other Mandy good sites around, go and visit it. And leave this one alone.
There’s some you guys don’t understand. Making a website can be a way to support the celeb you like. What’s the problem in making another tribute page? Only the Mandy’s psycho fans can see something wrong with this.
Grow up! If you own a Many website, take care of your own. If you don’t, go visit the ones you like;

People are stupid. I deal with crap like this all of the the time. People coming on our board and complaining about the photo gallery, or people from other sites trying to make it into some stupid competition. It takes the fun out of it. I can totally relate.

Razi, why do we have to have the “best” site description?? Why cant we ALL just have good websites with our own uniquness and a bit of our own style?? Why do people have to fit sites in the best categories?? I love my site, and I love that people visit it, but i do not feel the need to call it the best. I think people need to stop with the best stuff, and stop trying to make it a competition and maybe us webmasters will not have this problem. That is why this problem occurs. Too many sites coming out wanting to be “the best” instead of allowing ALL of us webmasters to respect one another and just enjoy each others work. To collaborate with each other, etc.
I think maybe these MM fansites need to stop with the best site, or number one source things, and maybe we will stop being harassed and attacked all of the time. I think we need to just have our sites, and have fun with them instead of trying to one up one another and have things other sites have just to see if we can be better than other sites, or have more, etc. Its ridiculous.
I see no problem with coming together and being webmaster internet supporters. : ) With all of our fansites and stop this.JMO.

I also recall many times offering to collaborate with the fansites to share mandyvideo.com so we can all use it as a large video base, and share it, the other fansites declined. Same with the forum. Some of the other fansites declined. They would rather make this a competition than to come together and share. Like I said, once sites stop desiring to compete, then hopefully this will stop. It is a shame that we cannot come together and support, and collaborate with each others projects, that some sites out there just have to want to compete instead. Oh well, when sites refuse, I figure they are the ones who are causing the problems. Sites who want to get involved, are the ones who are not in it for competition, and they support the other MM sites out there. I support the MM sites, and wish others did the same. : ( Unfortunately, many of them don’t. : ( I hope you guys will want to collaborate with me on some things, so we can share stuff, help each other out, share the forum community, and the video gallery, maybe we can make new designs for them both so they fit all of what we have going on with our pages?? I think that would be a great thing. : ) So great sites like this one can use mandymooreforum.com and mandyvideo.com to share with visitors, upload video, etc. : )
Why dont we just share some things?? : ) Show these OTHER fansites, who WANT to cause trouble and compete, that some of us come together and support each other. Maybe they will stop for once.

Cindi, why are you such a bitch? I took on the site because I am a fan of Mandy Moore. I do not run 50 million other sites. I run ONE other site. Can you read that? ONE. The point? It’s a domain. Why let it sit wasted when there are people out there who want to run a site on her, like me. There may be other sites, but Mandy is not the only person out there to have multiple fan sites. In fact most big celebrities have hundreds of fan sites. The only content on this site that I did not personally get or make myself were the quotes and trivia pages which were files I received with this site. I had no clue that other sites had them. There is only so much you can include before you have nothing new to offer. The photos, well all sites might have the same photos. Am I not supposed to put up a single thing that any other site has? Essentially you are asking me to stop. If you don’t like this site, then please do not visit. I do not need your negativity here, nor is it wanted.
Cindi, please tell me something, do you run a Mandy site? Are you just jealous? What’s the link? I’d really like to see your site.

JJ - I am not trying to be competitive. I just wish to run a Mandy Moore site, if people visit they visit. If they don’t want to, then that’s their choice. I think the competitiveness of sites (for any celebrity) really takes out all the fun in it. Let me say, that Britney webmasters/fans are seemingly even more competitive, yet they don’t attack each other and leave nasty hateful comments to new sites like things I have experienced here. As for the forum and video archive, they were just ideas we had thrown onto the table prior to opening. We have yet to decide exactly what we are going to do here though we weren’t entirely serious at all about a forum or video archive at the moment. I think potentially hooking up to yours might be a good idea, but my staff and I need to discuss the direction we want to take the site and how they feel about that but I’ll definitely let you know. I think having a central location for those kinds of things is always a better idea than having 25 of them to split people up.
And for those of you that didn’t even read the entire post before commenting or emailing me with your nasty comments, if you HAD read it, I did specifically state that the site wasn’t completely finished. I said that I would be adding more content and redoing the gallery.

Let’s email and discuss things further. Please do give me a few days though as my uncle is in the hospital, and I have some things going on right now. I am sure we can work something out with a collaboration. : ) You are right, it would be best to share one thing, instead of having many. : ) Also, we can discuss affiliating, I have a Mandy toolbar too, for all of the fansites who do support and collaborate with one another, can join in on. Which includes fansite links, which also includes the video page, and fan forum as well. Let me know if you are interested in including your link in that as well. Keep in touch.

You say that Britney sites are competitive?? Welcome to the world of running Mandy fansites. lol. I have never seen such competitiveness in my life. And you are right, it is meaningless and it does take the fun out of it. You do your best to ignore it. It does get hard and many days you just feel like it is not worth it and want to give up. Trust me, I have felt that way many times. Some people out there just suck. I have learned that harsh reality. : (
